Your family's vault.
Allergies, medical notes and family messages stay locked. If a message doesn't belong, it never gets in.
Six promises, in plain words.
- We read only what a Room asks for
Messages that match no Room are dropped, never stored.
- Raw text is gone in 48 hours
We keep the summary, todos and events. Not the message.
- Your family has its own key
AES-256-GCM, one key per family, rows kept apart.
- Records for the right eyes
Parents edit, caregivers read in emergencies, kids and guests never see.
- AI only if you want it
Switch it off and nothing is read by AI at all.
- Leave whenever you like
Export a ZIP, or delete the family and destroy its key.
In, summarized, gone.
Follow one school email through MyTaro. It only gets in if a Room asked for it. Its useful parts become a summary, todos and events, and the original text is deleted two days later.
- Unmatched mail is dropped before anything is saved
- Summaries, todos and events are what stay
- The original text is deleted after 48 hours
Locked with your family’s own key.
Every family has its own encryption key (AES-256-GCM), and the database keeps each family’s rows apart. Another family’s data is unreadable to yours.
- One AES-256-GCM key per family
- Encrypted at rest
Kids’ records, for the right eyes.
Allergies, insurance cards and medical notes are edited by parents and readable by caregivers for emergencies. Kids and guests never see them.
- Parents edit allergies, insurance and medical notes
- Caregivers can read them for emergencies
- Kids and guests never see them
AI is your call.
Turn AI off and MyTaro is a calendar, todos and Rooms with no AI reading anything. Turn it on for summaries and suggestions.
- AI off: calendar, todos and Rooms still work
- AI on: summaries and suggestions
- We don’t sell or share your data
Take it all, or delete it all.
Export everything as a ZIP. When a family is deleted, its key is destroyed, so any copy left in a backup can never be read.
- Export everything as a ZIP
- Deleting a family destroys its key
- Backup copies become unreadable
Questions
Is it end-to-end encrypted?
No. MyTaro has to read matching messages to summarize them. They are encrypted at rest with your family’s key and the raw text expires after 48 hours.
Do you sell or share our data?
No.
Can a guest see my kids’ records?
No. Guests only see the one Room or todo list you shared.
